Blue Belles, Blue Fibros, and Easter Eggers were hatched on farm and are NOT vaccinated.

Whiting Greens, Pewter Leghorns and Dual Purpose Layers were hatched at Whiting Farms and are vaccinated for Mareks.

Ready-to-lay hens, raised right here on our farm. These birds are just reaching point-of-lay, meaning you’ll begin to see fresh eggs within weeks of bringing them home.

We offer a mix of hardy, productive breeds. Because they’ve been raised here on farm, they’re well acclimated, healthy, and accustomed to natural conditions.

A few notes on our birds:

  • Blue Fibros are a cross between a Svart Hona and an Andalusian. They carry one copy of the fibromelanistic gene, and have dark, nearly black combs. They will be good producers of cream colored eggs.
  • Easter Eggers are of mixed heritage and may lay blue, green, or occasionally brown eggs. They come in a variety of colors and may be bearded or crested. Parent stock comes from Whiting True Blues, Black Copper Marans, and Cream Legbars so it's a mixed bag!
  • Dual Purpose Layers are an Orloff derived meat line of chickens that can reproduce naturally and are excellent foragers. They are much like a Red Ranger. These hens are very good layers their first year and then can be processed for a good quantity of meat once laying slows down. Roosters are available if you want to breed.
