These beautiful birds were developed recently by Hoover's Hatchery for their fibromelanistic feathers, feet, combs, and skin. These birds came from crossing silkies with meat birds and selecting for size, skin color, and weight. They often have some orange/red neck plumage and sometimes have tufted heads. A great dual purpose bird that also offers good egg production.
