Butter Blue chickens are pretty, sleek birds who will lay pretty powder blue to blue-green eggs. They are the most efficient blue eggers available and produce a lot of eggs for less feed. They are homozygous blue egg layers, meaning they carry two copies of the blue egg laying gene (important for consitent egg color breeding programs). Ours are also excellent free rangers and tend to be good at avoiding predators. They tend to be inquisitive and friendly birds, although most like to stay just out of reach.
